First Fundraiser: Personalized Teacher Notecards

Our First Fundraiser this year will be a super simple and super cute one! We will be selling personalized Teacher Notecards that you can order to bless the teachers in your life. They will be sold in sets of 12 cards and envelopes for $10.00. All proceeds will go to help with the cost of our Little Blessings Program. You can order online, right here on our blog in the right hand side or from one of our Moms. We will be happy to deliver them to you if you are in the Cushing area or mail them to you for the actual cost of shipping if you are outside of our area. Thank you for your support! What a great way to bless your teacher with a small gift of appreciation and support Moms 31 Ministry!

Enrollment Fees

Our enrollment fee for our Moms is $50 for the year which includes the price of the bible study material. In order to supplement the cost of our Little Blessings Program this year we will also have an enrollment fee of $35 per child for Little Blessings per year. If we split the cost of our actual budget across our Moms enrolled it would cost each mom over $200.00 a year to attend. We do not want the enrollment fees to keep you from being a part of what God wants to pour into you this year and thus we wanted you to know what all of our budget entails.  If your family is experiencing financial difficulties and cannot afford the dues there are financial scholarships available.

A New Year! A New Format!

It is a New year! We will have a New format!! This year we will be infusing Elizabeth George's bible study "A Mom after God's own heart" into the session. Included in your dues this year is the cost of a bible study book and study guide. Each session we will be discussing a chapter of the book and growing in the Lord together. We will be switching from meeting in fellowship hall across the street to meeting upstairs in the education building for a more intimate environment to allow us more round table discussion and sharing. We will have one special guest speaker to kick us off in the fall and one to kick us off in the Spring.

Our first session, September 10th we will have a very special mother, Alecia Crawley, come and share her testimony and how the Lord ministered to her during the loss of her daughter, the goodness of the Lord in how he allowed her to see her legacy in teaching her children about Jesus and the blessing of her obedience in seeing her daughter's life and death and how it impacted her school and community for Jesus.

Monday, January 28th will be our Spring kickoff and we will have Heather McAnear to share with us her testimony and how the Lord is teaching her to to train her children in God's ways.

Instead of doing dues for both Fall and Spring, this year we have combined it to a yearly rate and it also includes the cost of your bible study book and study guide. The yearly cost per mom is $50. To help supplement costs of our Little Blessings program we will have a dues of $35 per child enrolled for the entire year. We will have to continue to do fundraising to help provide for the budget of our Little Blessings Program. We currently have 10 teachers and our budget for the entire year for this program alone is $5600.00. Please continue to pray for this program and the Lord's provision so that we may be able to continue to minister to Moms and grow in the Lord together with Moms in our community.

We do plan to have some breakout groups at the end of each session so that Moms can share and pray for one another. We will also continue to do breakfast but since we will not have tables assigned to this year we will break that up into Moms that names start with the letter A-C, D-F, ect..

We hope and pray that making some of these changes will allow more freedom in the group and help as we focus this year on discipleship and prayer. We are so looking forward to growing in the Lord together with you and striving to be Moms after God's own Heart. We pray that you will open your heart to all that the Lord wants to teach you this year through the Moms 31 Ministry and we pray that it will be a priority for you to come and be a vital part as we share life and share Christ! We are enrolling now and really need you to let us know if you are committed to come and be a part so that we can plan for our Little Blessings Program. We are so thankful for you and look forward to seeing you in the Fall!

2012- 2013 Mom's After God's Own Heart

Here is some info about our Fall 2012 Dates. We will be infusing a wonderful bible study by Elizabeth George called a Mom after God's own heart. What kind of Mom does God want us to be? One who carries out her mothering with these attitudes of heart and in these ways:

Heartily- Whatever you do, including being a mom, do it heartily as to the Lord
Colossians 3:23

Faithfully- Be faithful in all things, especially in your role of a mom.

 1 Timothy 3:11

Willingly- Do your work as a mom willingly, with both hands and your whole heart
Proverbs 31:15

Excellently- Many moms do well, but seek to excel them all. Proverbs 31:29

Joyfully- Rejoice always, no matter what your job as mom calls for.
1 Thessalonians 5:16

Prayerfully- Pray without ceasing while you are doing everything being a 

mom after God’s own heart requires
1 Thessalonians 5:17

Thankfully- In everything, especially in being a mom, give thanks for this is the

 will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

If we are faithful to be a Mom after God’s own heart God’s truth tells us that

A New Year! A New Bible Study! A Mom After God's own Heart by Elizabeth George

Hi Moms!

We have a great bible study material that we will be doing this year along with our sessions, A Mom after God's own Heart by Elizabeth George. God has put you in a unique situation where you have tremendous influence in the lives of others! Be a mom after God's own heart! Help your children--no matter what their ages--experience God's love, God's blessings and God's provisions. Learn how to share your love, faith, and your values with your children! We will have 8 sessions in the Fall and 8 sessions in the Spring using this bible study! Hold on to your seats Moms, the Lord wants to teach us so very much! We are praying now that you will commit to not let anything keep you from coming and sharing life with us as we grow in the Lord together this year. Our session dates are coming soon! We can't wait to see you in the fall!

Vanessa Jones, our First Missionary Mom

If you missed out on our last session Monday March 26....you just absolutely missed out!!! Our first Missionary Mom Vanessa Jones was with us. What a pure delight it was to hear her heart and what the Lord is doing in her ministry in Kapsowar Kenya! Please continue to pray for her and her family as they raise funds to return back and serve the Kenyan people in July. Our Moms 31 Love Offering was such a blessing to them! Bible Study Opportunity

We wanted you to know about a bible study opportunity for you taught by one of our mentor moms, Trish Shoemake.

The Called to be a Keeper Bible study is for all women no matter what age or stage of life. This study seeks to encourage women to understand the value of their role in light of God’s Word, to live out her priorities according to Scripture, and to help them walk in contentment and satisfaction while carrying out their calling as found in Titus 2 and Proverbs 31. It is unique because it encourages women to find creative ways to improve the management of their homes through life application skills. Some of the skills include: household management, hospitality, cooking shortcuts, and reflecting Christ in your home.

A 10 week study, Called to be a Keeper has proven to be a life-changing time of growth, learning, and relationship-building. The natural outcome of this ministry is women mentoring other women as instructed in Titus 2:3-5.

The study will be on Thursday evenings beginning September 8 from 7 to 9 p.m in the Oak Grove Baptist Church fellowship hall The cost is $16. Sorry, no childcare. Please RSVP Trish Shoemake (527-6711 or Facebook) to make sure we have plenty of books.

Our Very First Fall Session is this Coming Monday, August 29 from 9am-11am at First Baptist Church

We are thrilled that you have enrolled for our very first Fall Session with Moms 31 Ministry! The Lord has brought us 36 moms! We can hardly wait to meet you! We just wanted to remind you that our first session will be this coming Monday, August 29th from 9am-11am at First Baptist Church located at 418 E Moses. If you have children that will be attending The Little Blessings Program please park on the east parking lot of the education building and take your children in the education building to find their classes. Hostesses will be there to help direct you where to go. If you do not have children to check in to the Little Blessings Program please feel free to use the parking on the south side of the church that lines Moses street and come in the double doors by the circle drive. We will be having our sessions in the fellowship hall. Look for the balloons and they will lead the way. Come hungry for food, fun, fellowship and an encouraging word! See you Monday!

The Little Blessings Program will provide quality childcare, bible lesson, snack & craft for each Moms 31 Session. Our Little Blessings Coordinator this year is Cheryl Gordon. We are so thankful the Lord has called her to serve in this special ministry!

We will only be able to accommodate 30 moms for our Fall Session. Please enroll as soon as you can so that you will not miss out on this great opportunity! We are so very blessed to have you considering to be a part of this group and we are looking forward to knowing you better and sharing our lives with you!
